Installing Race Face Deus XC Crank on Ibis Mojo

Just building up an Ibis Mojo and after installing the race face deus crank noticed that the big chain ring is pretty close to the bottom chainstay.

Just wondered if this was normal on these frames.

setup is 2 spacers on the drive side, 1 on the non drive side as per setup for 68mm shell.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    what is close? photo? measurement?

those two parts don't usually flex very much. in other words, if they don't touch now they usually won't in the future.

    Hi thanks for the reply

Its about 3mm but I have wrapped some roadbike handle bar tape around the rear stay and thats probably about 2-3mm thick.

    Best regards

I have the same crank on my Mojo without any sort of contact issues so there shouldn't be any problems. I can check later to see how many spacers are on the drive side if you want.

Hi If you could that would be great.

I think what makes mine look worse is that I have wrapped road bike handlebar tape
around the chainstay to protect it and its at least 3mm thick.

    Appreciate your help.
