Ibis wrteup on PB. New paint, missing HDR 160 or Ripley HDR? Or one off...?

Theres a nice write up on Pinkbike about Ibis.

Inside Ibis Cycles: Artful Innovation - Pinkbike

Note: look at the bottom 3 images in the collage under the Driving Design section of the page.

You can see a matte black frame, new lines it it, with uber subtle white gloss treatment. Maybe its a new paint option, or maybe its something else...?

Typically, manufactures will ping relevant media outlets as part of a push for something, or just as a PR maintenance thing. I wonder if this is an initial push towards a larger announcement to come?

Doesn't speculating just suck? You know you all had nothing better to be spending CPU cycles on this morning.

Ibis wrteup on PB. New paint, missing HDR 160 or Ripley HDR? Or one off...?

I was happy to see this while sipping my tea this morning.

Looks like the next gen tranny is getting close! I haven't owned or ridden one but I don't recall them having a direct mount FD boss. Also kind of looks like the brake caliper mounts inside the triangle. Anyone have more insight? Looks like modern molding tech as expected w/ uni-directional carbon rather than cloth weave on the surface.

    This is fun.

Yah, it does look like a hard tail for sure... possibly with an exit for internal routing below the direct mount plate. Love the gloss white on the flat black...

When I first saw it this morning sipping my morning cup of coffee I figured it was going to end with their new wheel's but part of me was praying for an announcement of the new 650b Mojo HD. And since my XL HD is one size took small for me the new sizing as well Oh well it was still a nice article and I will just have to continue being patient.

    New HD?

Anyone else notice this picture in the article? Looks like a new matte black-on-black HD swingarm. Considering that the 26" HD is no longer produced, maybe a new long travel 650b HD?

I was at the Ibis factory this past Friday. I asked if they are going to put out a longer travel HDR 650b. The guy said they are always playing around (like mad scientists) but nothing is in the works as of now.

It's not a question of IS it a new tranny.

The question is it a dedicated 650b tranny or a tranny29.

The demand is there, they've probably been planning the bike for at least two years.
