    ibis tranny won't come apart?

I'm having trouble taking the rear triangle of my tranny apart. Seems like the tab or knob won't press in and is stuck? I can move the slot to tension the chain but can't take the rear triangle off.

I got a hardcase for travel that I like to test fot the tranny any help would be great. Thank you

There is no tab or knob. There is a bolt. Have you removed the crank and the bolt that goes through the Slot Machine?
Have you checked the manual on the Ibis website? It should have all the info needed.

I removed the the 2 bolts on top and one on bottom. The tab I'm referring to is the copper square, I tried pressing it in but it seems to be stuck won't move. Yes I downloaded the manual looked over but still can't get it apart. Attach are pics of the copper tab and the other side with the bolt removed.

Besides this issue, the bike just flat out rocks! It's so much fun, the acceleration and handling is freaking amazing. This hardtail 26 will never get old. I have Niner air carbon and a superfly that's been collecting dust since I got this.

    Hi 5power,

That copper square you are referring to is actually the head of a shaft that goes through the swing arm and front triangle.

If you remove it you should have no problems taking the swing arm off.

Referring to the second pic, put the small allen bolt back in the shaft and give it a light tap and the shaft should come out the crank side of the bike. I hope this helps.
