Ibis Mtn. Trials, best rear tire recommendations

ibis owners, what do you ride on the rear of your mtn trials?

years ago i stashed away several 24" specialized ground controls to save for use as the rear tire on my ibis mtn trials... but over time my supply has dwindled; i'm down to just one more tire in the attic reserve. what, in your opinion, is the best 24" tire on the market these days? if it exists, i'm looking for a tire fit for real rides, with the volume and thread count and durometer to work on singletrack... i've tried several 24" bmx tires, literally on-and-off, over the years looking for an alternative, but i've found them all to be unbearably brutal and generally lame due to low thread counts, silly tread patterns, and hard rubber.

is there a good 24" tire out there?

I had a ritchey Z-Max 24" tire on my mtn trials. It was the best tire I could find a couple years ago. Not sure if they are still made.

    Panaracer Fire FR 24x2.4
    Schwalbe Racing Ralph 24x2.40

Pretty much everything else is DH or BMX tire.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

I just this week picked up a Mt Trials with a Z-max, and I doubt a 2.4 would fit between the chainstays even with the wheel shoved all the back in the dropouts.

I was thinking of trying one of these:

Agressive tread, a 2.1 width, available with Kevlar bead and a reasonable casing.

I don't suppose you have a source for these?

For that matter, I remember really liking those tires in 26".

On the 24" front, I haven't been able to find anything other than the Arrow that's still in production that looks like it will fit - except, of course, for BMX tires.
