Ibis Mojo Carbon- who has ordered one?

So how many of you have liked the Mojo Carbon enough to order one? Did you get a deal or pay list price?

    I'm seriously considering it.

    Just seen it today

in Dirt Rag. I'll wait to hear some reviews. Looks a little like the Nomad.
I may not be as good as I once was.
But I'm as good once, as I ever was.

Was just looking over their website. Who's doing the manufacturing for them? Martec? Calfee?

Mine is set to arrive in March

I'm paying full list. Ordered in November, delivery is expected in March. Unless some shops have ordered them without buyers lined up (i.e. they're sitting on the showroom floor) I wouldn't expect to find one below list at this point.

I just ordered mine. I'm first on the list for April's delivery. I paid Canadian list price (with a money back guarantee), which actually worked out to about $100 less than the US equivalent. Surprising, as we usually pay more to account for the cross border shipping.

Seems like a nice frame for the money... I have faith in Scot Nicol and his emails to me have been very informative and confidence inspiring. I have a good feeling about this frame.

The shop I ordered from got their orders in to Ibis very early (verified by Scot Nicol) and I was that shops first deposit. I get the first Medium that comes into that shop. I'm told April delivery is still accurate.

    What a surprise!

My mojo has not arrived. Has anyone in the history of mountain biking received their bike 'on time'? No worries, I was not holding my breath. Ibis has actually been really good about setting expectations.....

I was told 'a few more weeks'. Scot Nicol's latest update indicates they now ship the end of this month. We've waited this long....what's a few more weeks, right?

I emailed Scot today hoping to be a reseller/dealer for the Mojo. I know, I know: fat chance. But I'm putting together an online business selling the likes of XT 760 cranks/bb, CNC'd motorcycle parts, aftermarket suspension and a few other goodies. Nothing would make me happier than to get a handful of Mojos, but the wait would be a killer.

Where did that info come from? Silk Carbons are in TODAY but no one from Ibis has ever said the Mojo Carbon was going to be in earlier than April.

Here is a paragraph from the "more about the Mojo Carbon" page on our website

"Although we design, engineer and test the bikes in and around our facility near Santa Cruz, the lightweight frame and swingarm is built for us in China by a small, prestigious fabricator. Frames from this shop have used to contest the Tour de France and the UCI world cup. The founder, Dr. Chen has his PhD in Composites from National Taiwan Institute of Technology University."

And here's even a little more information for you.
The company is called Inda, and they are in the Shenzhen area where much of today's carbon manufacturing is coming from (Kestrel, Specialized, Colnago, Scott, Cervelo, Trek, Merlin, Orbea, Felt, Ridley and a bunch more for that matter).

We do all the development here, the design, FEA, engineering and testing. We have over 1700 hours of CAD time into the Mojo alone.

Hi Scot, nice to see you drop in here and give us some accurate info instead of speculation. Thanks.

Which magazine will have the first review in print?

There's an article in the new Dirt Rag, written by a Spanish guy Manuel Maqueda. He is the US Correspondent for Mundo MTB Magazine, Spain. There's a big article in this Spanish Mag, but that probably doesn't do a lot of you much good. So I mentioned Dirt Rag too, and they have extended their coverage to the website.

Richard Cunningham from MBA just gave us his test bike back at Sea Otter, we know he really likes it but aren't privy to what he actually wrote. HOWEVER, I saw Jimmy Mac there and he said that Richard's test was one of the more glowing ones he's ever seen....
I think it comes out soon, June issue if I'm not mistaken.

Mountain Bike has their test bike now...

So the unbiased reviews will start to hit the newsstands soon.

Sorry, no pictures of the mojo in action yet. But the guy who test rode the Mojo for Mountain Bike at Sea Otter immediately tried to order one from us....

So if a person has one on order does it look like the end of April for delivery?
