Is 5.5" of travel really 'big' these days?

It's not huge type big but it is at the travel range where drops get bigger & riding more agressive, it's no XC bike.

Some mags will have reviews in a month or so. But only 2 prototypes exist in the US. Ibis says they will arrive from Asia at the end of May.

I saw the protos at Sea Otter and they are purty, Mercedes finish quality. Fits 2.5 tires. Great standover in any size. Frame angles are appropriate for travel 73/69. I picked one up and it was light with air suspension and XTR and cf bars and post. Suppose to have a 5.5 lb frame with RP3 shock.

Edit: Pic below is Scot Nicol, Ibis founder and Mojo geometry designer, and Tom and wife, the Ibis investors.

Do you have a problem with pivotless titanium 6" travel bikes too? Because...

    Notice how big Tom is...
He's been riding the crap out of one of the prototypes. I think the frames will do just fine.
