Ibis Lock On Grips... Fitting them.

I recently bought a set of the Ibis lock on grips from the Ibis online store. I'm putting them on my Ripley which has the Lo-Fi carbon bars. I have a a question. That being: Should I use carbon assembly paste on the bars when fitting the grips? Or would the lock on grips be fine without the paste?

No paste needed, just tighten them down to spec or just use the good and tight method.
