I think I got full use out of my Hans Dampf front tire

This is about 400 miles of use. This is far and away the best front tire I have ever used. Notice anything missing?

Plenty of intermediate knobs missing. Maybe you need to lean more to get rid of some sideknobs too for good measure.

Way to get after it. Love those tires. Unfortunately that's the downside of their soft compound - one weekend in Downieville and one I thought had plenty of life in it looked like that!

At least you got 400 miles out of it. I had a Continental Trail King that looked like that literally after my first ride. 18 miles on Flying Dog trail in Park City and it was missing as many Knobs. Shop refunded my money - probably bad production run but never bought another Continental tire. I am having a great experience with cheapest (Performance) Compound Hans Dampf as Front tire.

As bad as it looks it still gripped like a mofo! All of the side knobs are almost torn off as well. Another ride or two and they would have been gone as well.

Same here, Side knobs are just hanging on and still has excellent grip!

I kept riding it with those floppy side knobs. Hard, fast corners got really interesting at the end.
