    Experiment begins - 650b HD140

So i decided that i would like an informed opinion on 650b conversions of HD's and the only way to do this is to try it.
After all the internet is simply a repository of Experts On Any Subject With No Experience.

I have gone with Halo Vapour wheels. Only because they were the only thing i could buy in as a complete wheelset at short notice. It seems they are actually really nice wheels which is good.
120 point pick up on the rear hub and all axles taken care of. I use the 135x12 HD such is it's vintage.
The hubs only come in red. I'll get over it.

Tyres were chosen as Ardents. Once again, i say chosen, when i actually mean, 'what is there available and NOW'. They are the 2.25 wire version.

So here are a few pictures for you to get interested in.

First impressions are that it feels faster. I say feel because i haven't measured.
Less perceived effort is the best description.

On another note, Ardents, like many tyres, do not grip on ice.

Nice ! I was unaware of that wheel option. Tell us more after you get some miles on it.
