Enduro World Series round 3 LES 2 ALPES 6-7 July

I thought this was weird, it was what was on the EWS site, but rd 3 is still in France whew, more Euro goodness, another ski alps location, prepare for battle!

Whats the course going to be like?

A 29er fest or more tough love like Val D Allos!
Hopefully the latter, but still serving up something unique to crankworx!

I have no idea who's going to take this one, need to think some more!

So good going "back to back" just cannot wait, braaap!

    Bring back the Weir meister!

Well not so good for my Dirt Fantasy team last week, to be honest pretty disappointing in the Dirt team, no update before hand so I forgot doh take res for that too.

No AC racing hurt me, Fabien down butt hurt me, Sam Blinkey not they're killed me not sure WTH my Italian friend is doing needs to pull finger and Manuel Ducci down the field, think I scored 90 points

That said the options are pretty weak little choice in women's as they're not loaded or I can see them, common guys its 2013 equal opportunity wish mtb would stop treating girls and women like second hand citizens, Im no feminist but really!

So here we are after 2 rounds and rd 3 ready to pop!

    Looking good

Cedric choosing to go back to the 29er LT um interesting for such a badass location.

    Just some comments from practice!

Practice has started and the riders are on the mountains around L2A.
It's hot, steep, physical, fast and seriously challenging on all stages!

    From EWS!
"Tough, hard, totally different" Those are the words coming from the riders during training.
Sounds like the race is wide open once again!

Few name surprises at this round, Hannah's should be interesting!
You know its an amazingly tough place when Sam Blinensopm(kiwi DHer WC rider) wears gloves, he never wears gloves, course it might be mandatory in Enduro, better rule system.

    Called it whoohoo

Round 3 men's winner is Jerome Clementz! Vouilloz and Blenksinsop round out the men's podium after a gruelling race here in Les 2 Alpes.

Blienky 3rd wow, awesome result and would boost me dirt comp score

Travey 3 for 3 wonder how AC did?

Jerome now men's overall leader so does not sound good for Gravey!

Just awesome against that company and many doing this full time or for awhile Rosara just started doing Enduro's this season, impressive.

I have a feeling that the overall title is JC's or Nico's to lose.

    Hope to see more videos.

Where that Hell is Lopes? He hasn't competed on the two last races.... Anyone knows why?
The world needs a huge socio-economic change...be it. We all need to ride more....

Interesting results this week. Graves must have gone down or had a mechanical on Stage 1. Would have won again or at least for JC to push himself much harder. Can't believe how much Clementz put into everyone on Stage 1. It really allowed him to manage the rest of the day. Barel crashed or had a mechanical on Stage 2. Bruni had a great race overall as well except Stage 1. These races are really coming down to not crashing or having a mechanical through the day. None of the winners are going 1/1/1/1 in Pro Mens. When is the next race?

Lopes had his first kid and named him Maverick and appears to be passing on a few of these races with good reason. Looks like he's still riding quite a bit, just not flying to Europe for these EWS events.

4 rounds still to go I think its anyone's at this stage still.

3 rounds down and 3 different winners of each men's round

Tracey M is going to be hard to catch though.

As far as I know Fabian didnt crash he did though have another flat tire, get that man back on Maxxis tires or 26" wheels!

Lopes stated at the start of the season he was only going to race selected events and not interested in the series title, he said he has too many World Championships already, pretty arrogant statement, but lest he's was honest about not racing the whole series!

AC was pretty good, back after injury to nab 4th I reckon.

Bring on Colorado! Hope they can match the courses with something decent!

Another solid posting from Pinkbike. Photos are pretty insane with a great shot of ACC about 2/3rds of the way down on her reverse Vitamin P hauling the mail. Not sure if the photos are representative of what happened out there but there are a few pics of mangled front tires (Florian Nicolai's Yeti and and a bit of a sad panda moment for Chiara Pastore). Every photo I see of Graves just screams "braaap" with a big roostertail of soil. Clementz seems so freakin' composed in the gnar. Impressive stuff making me feel like a hack!

Awesome Donk, yeah Graves looking pinned alright, was AC on the HDR hard to tell if wheels are 27.5" ?

    Fantastic images, this is MTB.

I love it how the pros are 20sec apart and can see each other just ahead and have something to chase down if possible looks amazing.

Just a view but Im a bit bummed for Manuel Ducci's results this and last round back in the 30s, looks like last round he rode his Vengeance/Vector combo this round back on the Slant O2rcx, just my own thoughts probably way off track but I don't think its a good thing to be changing all the time back and forth, if anything this round bigger woulda been better Id rather suffer a little more on the transfer stages which with the HD is a little hard to do anyway since it goes up better than anything out they're.

I don't think its helping his results. Look at JC and Jared Graves for example same setup for all rounds so far, maybe suspension settings alter here and they're but I doubt that too they have confidence in they're equipment, you can over do the analysing for performance too much sometimes, look at Dan Atherton seems way off point so far and 27.5 has done bugger all for him to date.

Just my observations, seems rest of Lapierre team on std Spicy's as well.

That video is worth all 6 minutes and 33 seconds of your life. The pace of people like Clementz all the way down to Ducci is ridiculous. Some of those techy drops look pretty intense. Now I understand why a guy like Curtis Keene could go over the bars.

I think there's a shot of ACC's bike whipping around a corner...I think she's still running 26" at the moment.

Best 6+ minutes Ive spent tonight lol, pics too just amazing.
I see Curtis was running flats too reckoned to sketchy for him in clips even though he prefers clips
Ah nice on AC, she'll get stronger as the injury comes right, ribs will still be pulling a bit, mine were after 6 odd weeks.

Def awesome watching Ducci and Jerome so balanced stable on their bikes. Some guys were sketchy as aye!
