    Downhill tires in HDR

Will 2.5 downhill tires fit in the HDR 26in mode. Thinking about getting the HDR 27.5 for trail/all mountain use. Then using some existing used parts I have to build it up for the occasional shuttle runs

I think it depends on the tires you choose, wheels you have and the fork you are running. Unfortunately, not all 2.5's have the same installed profile. I run Easton EA90 XC's on my Mojo SL and the 2.35 Kenda Nevegal's look much wider than the same tire on my old MAvic Crossmax's. I know this doesn't answer, but you might try the Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5's and see what happens. They are a bid narrower than some other DH tires I have with the same 2.5 measurement...and I like them.

The 2.5 DHF Minions fit in the back of my HD [Mavic 823 rims], so they should be fine on the slightly-more-spacious HDR back end.
