    Which Cane Creek headset?

    Hi guys,

as the parts for my Mojo keep dribbling in (no, haven't got the frame yet ), I was pondering the headset question.

The IS2 is pretty much out for me, as I don't want to have to deal with potentially rusting bearings.

My preferred mail order shop carries the IS8, the Solos and the IS110.

Right now, I am tending towards the IS8 (least expensive, nice carbon finish) - is there a strong reason not to go for it? The Solos is about $40 more expensive, and the IS110 about $65.

    Thanks for your input,

    Jever

I don't know about the others, but I can attest that the Solos is a high quality and lasting headset. I've had it apart a few times in the last year or more of using it and it is always rust free and running smooth.

    Solos IS / 110 IS

I have a red Solos IS on my Mojo and like it.

Cane Creek now also makes the 110 IS headset. That one could be even more robust. The Solos IS can be found for about $75 [beyondbikes]. The 110 IS is $105 [blueskycycling].

Hi Jever, just building up my Mojo at the minute. I've fitted an IS8 and it looks to be a pretty
solid quality headset. I don't think you'll go far wrong with it.
I can't vouch for it's longevity yet but judging by the photo's on this forum, there's been a few people using it.
