650b'd SL's Fit 2.25 Nobby Nics or other Fatso Tires?

    I read it won't fit a 2.35 NN but what about 27.5x2.25?

I have the 2.35 NN on the back of my HDR 650b and it DOES fit, close, but it fits. I'm sure the 2.25 would be fine.

I'm going to try the 2.25s. I don't like how tight the 2.35s are. Did you find out from anyone else if the 2.25s fit?

I'd be curious to hear a real world report too. According to the relative sizes listed in this thread....
    http://forums.mtbr.com/650b-27-5/27-...ce-833399.html

compared to some tires I've run successfully on my SL ( Both sizes of Neo Moto, and Nevegal 2.1 ) it looks like it would probably fit, but all of these tires were pretty tight, so there's not much margin for error.

I just emailed ibis to see if they've have any input (trial and error at $80/tire hurts). I'll let you know.

Thanks. That was for the SL right? I ask because above you mentioned the HDR.

I was about to ask the same question.... I think something's been lost in translation.

I'm sorry dude, I derailed your thread. I read 650b and assumed you meant HDR (didn't read the SL bit). I don't know about on the 650b-ed SL.

Myitch, unless somebody else chimes in who's actually done it, I think you're on a new frontier of conversion parts compatibility. The only real way to know will be to try it like many others have done in the past with other tires.

    DOOOOO IIIIIIIT!

If it doesn't fit, at least you've got a super desirable tire you can recup your investment in with ease.

I run Pacenti Quasi-Moto 27.5 x 2.0 650b on my SLR rear with still room to spare. Might get a bit tight with heavy mud but I normally do not ride in these conditions. I run Pacenti Neo-Moto 27.5 x 2.3 on the front. Now this is with my temporary WTB i23 rims. From what I read 2.1 Neo-Moto should work as well.
