    Bashed my Big ring..SOB

Okay I bashed my big ring and lost a few teeth from the big ring at the same time.

Seeing is I don't use it much can I just remove the big ring and add a bash guard? I have seen them on bikes but really don't know much about them...As you can tell.

I assume I just adjust the stops on my front D. to not alow a shift in to the missing big ring??

    Cheers and thanks.

    Here ya go man. Click

    14 dollars shipped.

You'll want a 104 BCD and a 32 tooth. You can go 34 and 36, they're just designed to cover a bigger middle ring. They have colored and "super light" ones that look pretty cool.

    Good luck!

Yep, most bashguards are meant to be a direct replacement for the big ring. After you have it installed then you can adjust the high limit screw. Its super easy

    Will a size 32 protect a 32t ring or will I need a size 36?

The 32t bash will be enough. I currently have a 32t BBG on my bike

I like a 36T for the range so to answer the question go with the 36T guard that way if yo decide to go with a 36T you only need a sprocket.

    Kerry's,

You my want to consider upgrading the middle chainring to a 36t along with the bash ring..
In doing so you wont lose all of the speed and still have a higher ring to obstacle clearance..

ditto on the 36t... you'll out spin yourself too easily on the 32 and the 36 is a good medium for lower speed techy stuff to highspeed balls out bombing stuff...
