Alpine 550 fork setup -- need help

    Hello everyone!
I'm new to mountain biking, I purchased the Alpine 550 last year ('08 model I believe), I need help setting up the Marzocchi MZ Race fork.
I ride mostly single-track trails, weight 150 lbs.
    Any help would greatly appreciated!

Start with the manufacture recommendations and do a ride. Next ride adjust it to what you think you may want, stiffer or softer. Start out with 5lb increments and do a full ride evaluation dont go and adjust on the trail. You want the fork set up for your ride not each section this is why I do a full ride on each change. Be patient it may take a few weeks to set up dont rush it.

it's not an air fork, coil spring...I downloaded the manual, but there's nothing about manufacture settings...

maybe this will help our gurus help

I still have mine in a box and the left leg has a compression to lockout lever, the right leg has a preload dial. Me being a lighter rider like yourself I had both at minimum settings but ymmv.

    Sound like your's?

The manual is useless in any language and has many... not ->
