I recently received my new Asta Expert and just wanted to say that i'm somewhat of a nOOb to the new technology in bikes. I was still riding (occasionally) an old '90 Trek 8000 with full ridgid set up (ok, way old school!)......too old now to take the abuse on the knees and hands! Anyway made the plunge into Ibex and so far it seems like a great bike.......never realized how good FS bikes ride!
One question: The BB seems to have a lot of frictional resistance......like the bearings are way tight. The crank will not even free wheel with the chain removed and flipped with your hand. I suspect that it is just a matter of loosening the bearing end caps, but any help in resolving this (torque on end caps, side play amounts, etc.) and what tool to buy for tightening the BB (FSA MegaExo) would be appreciated!
