Havent seen it yet, but I think it will probably be very popular. You might be able to get a picture if you email jack.

FR-1 to be used as an all mountain bike

I was thinking about getting something a little more extreme than a all mountain bike, like a Warrior Pro. then I was reading about people using a Stinky or something like that for some XC. Im not heavily into XC I would much prefer going down. But can you use the FR-1 or similar bikes for going up hill if you dont mind the weight? And with the chaingring, can u take off the rock riing and add a third chainring? is there any other place to get this bike than on the ibex website? Thanks.

I would not want to ride that bike up a hill. Its just not a good choice for xc or all mountain riding. What are you looking to do exactly? Unless your looking to do crazy stuff I would reccomend that you look for an all mountain bike with 5-6in travel in front and rear. I'm riding an MKIII and I like it alot.

If you are looking to freeride you might want to look at an Iron Horse 7 point.

Last year, I rode 2003 Apogee, which is 5" rear.
This year I bought a Marin Wolf Ridge frame, 4-6" travel but I leave it at 6" and built it up with exact parts I wanted with Pike on the front at 140mm setting.
It weighs 32 lbs, light enuff to pedal uphills and I go bigger on jumps with this than Apogee.
You can do light freeriding with this type of bike with sturdy wheels and bigger tires.
