    ... When I remind everyone that the Kauai Powerline Race is coming up. July 4th. Starts on the Princeville side. 9:00 a.m. First place: a coconut.

    We got a mini-drought working... it's bone bone dry. No bets on that lasting until July 4th...

    Never got mine. Lunchmeat used to give them out and I think I won the first year he wasn't there.

    Yes. Anyone can ride. I think there's usually something like 30-40 riders.

    Just be ready to ride at 9:00 on July 4th, at the Princeville end of the trail. That's all there is to know. Ride to race, or ride at your own pace.

    The conditions were pretty damn good. Muddy, of course, but ridable. I'd guess that there were about 40+ riders. If I come across any results or photos I'll post or link 'em... Winning time was 1:11... last to finish was 2:50...
