In the old days, Aloha would take a bike (unboxed) for $20... I haven't shipped a bike since they went out of business... Hawaiian Airlines site is pretty vague about the charges...

$25 now that Big Brother shut down the ferry. and you have to break it down and pack it. At least thats what I paid. The Ferry never charged me and I rode it about 9 times and I peddled home.

Hawaiian charges $35 each way to take a bike on inter-island flights. That's $35 for the trip from Kauai to Kona even if there's a stop in Lihue. I believe they require bikes to be boxed up these days, even for the short hops.

But rest assured that the environment will be protected as I'm sure the rental car companies
wash the underside of all the vehicles they transport from island to island, and of course the
same holds true for the contractors and all that heavy equipment I'm sure gets a proper cleaning.
Otherwise the coqui frog would never have been able to make it to Kauai....

Wouldn't that be Moses who walked through the opening, and Jesus walked on top of the
    water?

I have read everything John Muir wrote and I cannot figure out how or why the present sierra club folks love the sound of airplanes screaming thru the air and yet abhor the SF?

Like I said I rode it 9x's and they did a better job at keeping the enviro safe than the airlines or barges.
What a croque that they were shut down, I hope you airplane sound loveing sierra club ppl are happy.

    Aloha,
    wil

Edit: You are correct, Sorry, I removed the Maui my bet is the majority are for the SF there.

Is there any chance the Super Ferry will rise again? I thought I read that the governor was committed to it?
