what are some bad things about the mary?

looking to buy a mary in the next month or so and doing all my research first so i know what to upgrade to make it a GREAT bike..

i know i want a reba sl fork,
but like the wheels, will they hold up to 1.5 to 2 foot drops, with a 220lbs rider
    the crank?
    the wheel hubs?
brakes? i have heard they are pretty good..

what do i need to do just to have a dependable fast ride...
not worried about the weight, yet, i will work on that part last..
need to know where to start upgrading....

I installed a 100mm Reba on mine after a few rides. The bike was great with the original fork, but my elbows couldn't take it.

I also upgraded to FSA Afterburner cranks. I didn't have any specific trouble with the Stylos, but the new cranks are so much stiffer it is silly. I never noticed it initially but I swapped the Stylo cranks to another bike, and after riding the new cranks on my Mary for a while the old bike feels like I'm pedaling Jello.

There is plenty of stuff you could change to make the bike lighter, but I'm close to your weight and just don't see the need to blow money building a fly weight bike when I'll still have to tote my own weight around on the trails.
