    New Haro Flightline Expert...

Well, I finally got enough money (tax return) to get back into the riding game after about a 5 year hiatus. So I went to my local bike shop a couple months ago, and after browsing through some catalogs, I purchased me a black Haro Flightline Expert. The bike is great. I have also been an upgrading fool with it. So far this is what I have done...

-Converted it to a 1x9 setup
    -MRP Camber Crankset
    -MRP 1.x Chainguide
    -MRP Chainring

    -Shimano DX Clipless Pedals
    -Bontrager RXL Carbon Handlebars
-Bontrager Race XXX Lite Carbon Stem

...and my wife just ordered me the Rock Shox Reba Race forks for my b-day coming up.

I just thought that I would share and I will post up some pics later.

On the 1x9 setup, how does it shift in the rear? How much does your beauty weight now?

I just brought home one of these today, from the shop i work at in Maine.

16", swapped out the stem for a 130 -17stem/0 rise Salsa, and swapped out the saddle of my coworkers - who died last year on a mtn bike ride. It's a white beat2crap perforated Selle Flite.

This bike reminds me of Night Rider/Kitt TV series. Dunno know why?

    will post a pick tomorrow.

    Nice thread/thanks

Just knocked some more weight off by snapping off the plastic spoke protector. It brought tears to my eyes

swapped out the heaviest spd 505's down to the 525's

and took off the 11-34 to STX 11-28

there will be a continual diet plan, as parts wear, and bones break

that i should wear a helmet and stay away from stairs

first trail ride tonight. It can roll. Very nice tires.

Rained this morning. Dried out by afternoon, sunny, and the mud was like pottery clay. Bike came out clean.

Gone to take a couple weeks to adjust fork/tire pressure. All good. Just goofing around after working at the shop.

Got the bars nice and low 130mm stem. - degree rise. perfecto.

Man I really like your Haro! I especially like the 1x9 setup and have a really noobish question... can you do a 1x3, 1x5 etc setup? Do they make cassettes that small? Or are you pretty much limited to 8 or 9 cogs? Very nice looking bike you have there!
