I own both a 2008 R3 and an X7. The downtubes are about the same as well as the pivot area and bearing, i think they are the same. The vertical tube goes from the pivot to the shock is actually the same size. The rear pivot "chainstays" are just slightly larger diameter and the headtube is larger and longer, the headtube weld is longer too.
All the shifts share the same frame.
They look really similar besides those differences the other main ones are the pivot is angled more downward on the X7 vs the shift.
They may be different but I wouldn't doubt you could put one pivot onto another frame, if you really wanted to.
