Hi, I have a 2006 Haro Extreme x6. My crankset and rear cassette are pretty much useless. The teeth are so worn down that the chain slips a ton. So just a couple questions. I need to buy a new rear cassette which I think is the right name for this:

or maybe its called cogset. I dont know.

The other thing I need is the front crankset sprockets. I really dont know what these are called, my cranks are fine, just the two sprockets that the chain spins around need replacing. BikePedia says this is my crankset: "Truvativ Ruktion, 24/36 teeth"

this is what I have on my bike, but I dont want to buy that whole thing, just the two sprockets. If anyone can tell me what these are called and where to find them it be a great help.

Hope this wasnt too long and that you guys understand what I'm asking.

Thanks

EDIT: I finally figured out they are called chainrings. Now how do I know which ones will fit on my bike?

Gotz ta agree with downhilljill the LBS would be your best bet because you may need other components or their is a different problem your not aware of. Generally if the cassette/cogset plus chain rings are worn the chain is shot also. Depending on the age you may also need cable and housing replaced also. These are a couple web site that have great info on bike repair, never hurts to learn some since you may need the knowledge on the trail sometime to repair a flat or something.
