How big are you? I wanted to make sure that you are aware this a 24" wheeled bike that is sized for 8-12 year olds. I bought one for my son's 8th birthday in March and I have been very happy with it. I think the spec is better than average for the price. It has mostly name brand components rather than house brand. My son has ridden it alot with no complaints. I think the $399.00 is pretty reasonable as they retail for about $500.00. The fork is a little stiffly sprung for a kid though. I weigh 170 lbs and it took effort to bottom out the fork. I removed a spring from one side and it appears to be sprung about right for my 65 lbs son.

If it fits you well, I think you would do well to buy it.
