I actually don't! My Mary SS is a 2009 model. I love the baby blue color so I haven't traded it in for the a 2010 model.

I want the black 2010 model! I test rode a friends blue 2009 and the 16" frame seemed to fit perfectly (where my current 26" ride is 17.5" frame). Has the geometry, especially the effective TT, changed much with the 2010 models?

I'm surprised to hear there are no changes, you would think that new sloping top tube would make a slight difference?

2010 vs 2009 = ETT, ST, HT & angles are still same between years in all sizes as listed in their literature.

Has the basic geometry changed? How does the bent top tube effect the ride?

The geometry is the same but you will gain a little standover with the bent TT.

Picked up my 2010 XC yesterday. I switched from a Specialized P1 all mountain 26'' full ridged to the XC and cant believe the difference. I know there is a lot of factors going on that help gobble up the trail but the difference is amazing. Im 6' 4'' 360 lbs and the 20'' XC has more cockpit room than i need. I think im going to have to have a shorter stem and move the seat forward. I am very impressed with everything about this bike, cant seem to find a flaw.

    heres mine (pic heavy)
first thing first i traded the nevegals for wtb prowler sl's

first day out, swapped the saddle for a devo

then i put road drops and some chris king wheels/headset on it and raced it

then i put mtb drops(salsa woodchippers)

the drop bars were alot of fun but i felt they were holding me back in some situations so i had to go back to flat bars.
and i also got my homebrewed components drive train, new chain, new salsa stuff

since ive done a few races and ill be in big bear with it this weekend

as of now i have pink esi grips and kenda karma 1.9 tires on it.

    Prelim ride report:

The Bars: Nice bend, comfortable angle for hands.(keeper)
Stem: Firm, no noticable bending while out of the saddle (keeper)
Seat Post: nice build, (lpossible keeper), Could be a few mm longer .
Seat: I'm a WTB fan, (keeper) seems just a tad narrow than most Rockets.
Cockpit: I've got the 18" frame, my 6'2" , 225 LB clydesdale size, this fits good
Cranks: The 180 size is nice, all of my other rigs have 175's, Not really noticable (keeper)
Chain: (wow that has big links) (Keeper)
Ratio: 32 - 20, works perfect in my area. (keeper)
Wheels: WTB , Straight 14 Gauge with Harobrand hubs (keeper) these hubs run smooth, very nice , seems that they are a cartrage style? The single speed hub has nice engagment.
Tires: WTB, (keeper) till they wear out. heavy? Hey, I ride a Surly Puglsey, those are heavy.
Brakes: Avid BB5,,, I've read complaints on these, But if you set them up right, they are fine. (keepers)
    Skewers: Nice smooth operation (keeper)
Seatpost clamp: Firm holding power (keeper)
Grips: WTB soft ( too thin for me) (trash) I will be getting some ERGON's for this duty.
Break Levers: Avid, (keeper) light , simple and they work.

The ride: I've got the tires aired around 29 psi, single track it is rockin, technical, those 29er wheels just float. The tires offer plenty of grip and with the lower pressure, the ride is firm, but offers some suspension. I like the simple pleasures of riding this bike. NO chain slap, no gears to clutter your thoughts, just pedal and go. Since I've been riding my Puglsey for over 3 years, having no suspension is a non issue. This bike will make you work , there is no doubt about it, but it really can move on single track, you can just weave thru twisties. So simple , so plain,, perfect.

This is very different from my setup. I have the 20" Mary frame, and I'm 6'3". I had to add a super-long 120mm stem to get the bars out where they are comfortable because the 20" frame is too small for me in cockpit length. You are 1" shorter than me, and are happy with about 2" shorter cockpit than I'm riding. I guess I just like them long and low.

Mine's an older 2008 model, but the geometry is supposed to be the same.

Enjoy your Mary. I just can't stop riding mine. After three years I keep thinking about replacing mine with a custom SS frame, and I keep putting it off until "next year". I just cannot find anything major that warrants replacing this great bike.

I dig the new frames for this year, but I just can't deal with that paint job. Good thing there is no reason to replace my 08 SS
