I'm 5'10 and ride medium GT bikes. I tried a large Zaskar from 2001 and it was ok but not like I prefer. Small frame is definitely not in. Either medium or maybe large. Post pics when you get it.
2009 GT Marathon Team,GT Force 2.0, GT Jelly Belly TT (nude carbon), and a very special Todd Wells Zaskar.

GT's seem to run a little bit large. I'm 6'1" and I can go either way. I feel a little cramped on a medium, but it's doable. I'm more comfortable on a large.

On thing you may want to consider is the standover height.
You can get details about it on the "geometry" link of the gt website:

seems like a medium has a s/o height of 29.29". - might be painfull for you on a sudden getoff.

I've personally never worried about standover.
I've never racked myself on a bike. If I go down, it's either to my side, or it's an endo.

    Thank you all guys!!
I have just found this and I think I will go for a L one...
I used to ride a bike that was small to me and I had issues with knee pain...
I think that I am a medium to large person... from clothes to bikes LOL...
anyway I hope it will be OK.

I'm 5'10" and I have an 09 Zaskar Elite in Large. The standover is tight for me, but the cockpit felt better that a medium frame one. I have had it for 3 weeks, and I love it.
