Sensor 4.0 trim the fat or start all over?

    2011 sensor 4.0 all stock,.
    current weight 34 pds.

im thinking add $2k budget to it or purchase an all new $3k bike.

ideas im looking at 1x10, new wheelset, new drivetrain (crank,bb,casette, derailer)
    stem, seatpost, skewers, clamps etc.

figuring that should drop the weight south of atleast 26 pds.

    or a new 3k bike?

    ideas any direction, thx.

Probably can loose 3+ pds by changing wheel set ans fork. If you like the bike spend what you want ans build it how you want.

I think you could upgrade the fork, wheel and tires for ~1,000. Dropping 2 chain rings and the derailleur in front would also cut weight. If it is 3 x 9 now, I'd run 1 x9 until that stuff wears out. With upgraded fork, wheels and tires you should get it down to 29ish pounds.

Check out Bicycles | Bikes | Mountain Bikes | Road Bikes | MTB Bikes | Bike Parts | Bike Frames | Road Frames | MTB Frames.

They have Sun Ringle Black Flag Pro's for $340 and a DT Swiss EXM 130 for less than $500. Grab a set of Rocket Ron's and you've cut 5 pounds easy....

MAKE SURE THE FORK AND WHEELS USE THE SAME AXLE SYSTEM!

BikerBob on here could put together a sweet package of stuff for $1,000 as well. He's stateside.
