Question for GT Peace 9r owners that added a front shock...

What set-up did you use?
I bought this bike for my son, and so far he really likes the SS set-up. But his multi (Gary Fisher Tarpon) has a shock and he really misses not having it on the Peace.
Thanks for suggestions. I bought the bike second hand so I have no idea what will fit/not fit.

You may have a problem with the fork crown not clearing the down tubeon some forks.
A Cane Creek S3+5 headset (now discontinued) may help...and cane creek might have the +5 bottom cup still.(pretty sure they do).Some Manitou forks have a slanted crown that will clear the down tube too.The fork should be able to
swivel around 360 degrees without hitting the down tube.
