Yep, theres a couple floating around in New Zealand aswell, put one on the scales at work, came in at 38lb's with coil shock and average type build, could be built heaps lighter, gave it the old carpark test, very stiff and pedals better than the last model DHI.

is it just me or does the BB/dog bone area look like a dirt/mud/gunk magnet?

yea, it will catch some crud but that will not effect preformance at all. Prolonged exposure of elements on any suspension bike will effect bearing life and performance.

So, unlike many other F/S pivot designs, GT uses sealed headset bearings that drop into races just like a integrated sealed bearing headset. Instead of waiting 2 weeks for some stoned CS guy to finally remember to send the bearings you ordered from your bike manufacturer/ distributor, you can jam down to your LBS and but a few 1.5 headset bearings and pop them in... no special tools or presses required. If your feeling generous, but some ceramics and save some weight.

    sounds logical to me
