It's no MTB but its my 1996 GT Pro Series BMX.

I just finished restoring my old GT Pro Series. It sat for a really long time in a garage through High School and I rode it in College as a commuter bike. I started getting back into biking and thought it was a good idea to restore the old BMX. The bike was in pretty bad shape overall but nothing some new parts and a little TLC couldn't fix. I spent a good amount of time cleaning surface rust and polishing the frame, fork, and handlebars up. Installed a new Cane Creek 40 headset, Avid Speed Dial 7 lever, Avid Single Digit V-Brake, Lizardskins lock-on grips, FSA titanium spindle for the old Odyssey 41Thermal cranks, Profile Spider, MCS sprocket, Wellgo MG-1 pedals, Sun Ringle SuperStock 2.0 wheelset, and Maxxis Holy Roller tires, and I installed the stock seat off of my Kona MTB.

Thanks man! Not my first bike but first build from the frame up. Not as bad as I thought it would be but I did make a bunch of trips to the bike shop across the street for their torque wrench...I need to buy myself one of those

Well good work. I bought one a while ago after putting it off. I was working on an older fork one day and twisted off one of the bolts on the internals. A good investment so I won't do such a thing again...

lol.. was gonna post mine up just cause.. just finshed getting all the parts together, now i'm looking for someone to print the decals i made for it (apparently screen printing in low quantities isn't easy to find..), and then i'm gonna powder coat it baby blue.

I dont have any experience with the Thomson so I really cant say...but in the couple short rides ive had so far its definitely stiff enough for me, coupled with the carbon bars I was nervous it wouldn't be...but it is, and very light. Im super happy with the whole set up...

    My First GT!

My bike was recently stolen, so it was time to get a new one. I picked this one up from craigslist about a week ago, and LOVE it!
Never owned a GT before, but so far, it is leagues better than my Giant was. Handles better climbing and descending, and I love the geometry.

    2011 GT Sensor 29er Elite

Swapped out the Alivio drive train for XT Dyna-Sys with an 11-36T cassette. Threw in a few red ano accent parts, a pair of Deore 596 brakes awesome stoppers) and running WTB Bronson 2.2s. Problem is that after only 3 months of XC riding the Marzocchi 44 TST2 is leaking/clicking and is now in Valencia CA for a rebuild.
