left is original 1996 Avalanche, Middle is unknown year-- can you help ?
Rt is my ( I'll never sell it ) 1992 Avalanche. With some Trek 8500 wheels. Can you see a pattern here ? :-)
these are the only MTB I own.

Can you ID the year of this one ??? Serial SAS6H0122
I bought as a bare frame, and put Trek parts on it for my son. Any info would be great.

COuld be compeltely wrong cause hard to tell from the pics...
left is 96?, middle is pre 96 but post post 92 (so 93-95) and right is 98?

But if you got is as a bare frame could be anything aluminium for GT.
All the gear and no idea.

Oh man, I loved those Syncros cranks. I had an Avalanche that was kitted out very similarly to this rig, in '98.

Yeah. Unfortunately, the alu insert with the taper cracked on the drive side. A few years later, I sold them (mentioning the crack) for $150! I bet you didn't have the Votec forks

    Sweet AV

When the BB wears out, swap out the crankset for a Hollowtec=II setup. It makes a world of difference

Nice bike. I purchased this second-hand bike for a reasonable price. Progressively I'm going to upgrade my bike. I hope it in a near future

Here is my 2015 GT Sensor Expert - 29er conversion.Post your GT here!!!-20170122_114745-1632-x-1224-.jpg
Plenty of room in the rear swingarm for 29er tyres.
Geometry is not bad - even with a 340mm BB height. Has plenty of standover clearance.
    Has a Fox 34 Fit4 Boost 130mm 29er/27.5+ fork, 1x10 - 32t oval chainring + (11-42) and a Giant remote dropper post. Weighs around 13.95kg.
Finished bike works the best it has ever been - climbs like a mountain goat - hooks up on stuff that I used to have to get off and walk up. Rolls over most terrain with ease. Very good on the downhill as well.

    My 1999 GT Outpost Trail:

Doing some long overdue maintenance. I bought it new in '99 and haven't done anything to it (maintenance wise) since I had it. Will post after pics when I get finished.

That's an interesting setup LukeSPOOK, what's the frame size and fork offset?
