    My Ruckus Flowta Idrive

Pedals better than my Trek liquid..(last year) or the Giant VT1 i sold to get her. Goes down hill better than me ...as can be proved by my recent Wedge fracture of my 7th thoracic vertabrae...thank god not a scratch on the Flowta.

    New question here. GT Ownership?

I thought I read in Mountain Bike or Bike magazines that GT was purchased by a Canadian company. Or, was that only wishful thinking?

    GT ID5 3.0 update

Here's a pic of my GT Idrive 5. Changed out the fork to a 20 mm Z1 from 2002 instead of the 32 mm 2003 model. It's lighter, less bushing slop, and looks nice.

    2003 GT Avalanche 1.0 Disc

Heres my 2003 GT Avalanche 1.0 Disc.

    Upgrades are as follows:

Easton EA50 Flat bar, Syntace 120mm stem, Manitou Axel elite 100mm forks, Maxxis harddrive tyres, Ritchey SPD pedals, Carbon spacers, carbon seat post and WTB pure V saddle.

The first shot shows the bike when I bought it (pretty much stock), next shots are after modifications.

Some better pics of my 2005 0.5

Stock risers and stem gone - EA 50 flat bar and 100mm by zero stem now on.

Stock Tioga boat anchors gone - either Maxxis Hard Drive dual, or a combo of Extreme XC and Red Phoenix instead, all kevlars. Seatpost replaced with Pro Carbon job. Oil changed on fork due to topping out in stick form.

    My ye olde 90's Backwoods

Here 'tis - my first GT. A 90's Backwoods (92 I think) - all rigid with Shimano Alivio, Weinman rims, skinwall Psychos, clips 'n straps, GT ergo bars and cool violet paint. If you look closely you can just make out the 3D violet canti's I put on. I was as flash as a rat with a gold tooth. Gone are the days........

    My GT Tequesta

Here's some pictures of my Tequesta från 1998. It has been painted white as you see, since the original "Atomic Grape" paint has been too scratched to look good. The bike has been a bit upgraded:
The GT Tequesta: there's nary a trail or track that can get the better of it!

Fork: FOX Vanilla RLC 2005/GT CrMo Fork
    Stem: Pro LT race
    Handlebar: Maxm
    Seatpost: GT Original (polished)
    Sadel: Selle Italia SLR
    Rear derailleur: Shimano, XTR
    Front derailleur: Shimano, LX
    Shifters.: Shimano, LX
    Discs: Avid BB7
Brake levers.: Avid Speed dial 5
    Crankset: Shimano, XTR
    Cassette: Shimano, XTR
    Chain: Sram PC-99
Tyres: Tioga Factory XC/Fast Fred/Freddies Revenz
    Pedaler: Look 4X

Hope the pictures will show now...

    Hello Moto!

Here is my GT Moto I build up from a new frame I got cheap at Ebay and it serves me as a 4X and jumping/goofing around machine.

    My build:

    -GT Moto,unisize
    -Fox Vanilla 125 RL
-Hayes MAG with 6" Hayes Mudcutter rotors and RazorRock levers
-DT Onyxs hubs laced to Sun RhinoLite XL's
    -Maxxis Larsen TT 2.0
    -FSA Afterburner MegaExo cranks
    -Truvativ Boxguide 34-38
    -36 T Truvativ chainring
    -Atomlab pedals
-Ultegra 12-25 cassette with XTR shortcage derailleur and XT shifter pod
    -Odi Intense Lock-ons
    -Thomson Elite stem and post
    -Easton EA 70 handlebar
    -SDG BelAir seat

Nothing special but it gets the job done

1991 GT Xizang Titanium. Recently cleaned and rebadged with original decals. One of the originals that GT had produced at Sandvik. When this frame/bike was new 7spd was the standard, Rock Shox, RapidFire and Threadless had not yet hit the market. I started with the frame and built it tech weenie lite by 1991 standards. Probably still to this day this frame has more NORBA and World Cup wins than any other ever produced in history.
Rishi, Juli and the crew ruled the sport on this frame. Nothing climbs like it.... yet is so forgiving.

My Original Spec: Original GT Rigid Fork, XT 7spd top mount, Ritchey bars and brake levers, McMahon Ti stem and seatpost, Bontrager rolled down Mavic MA2's with 600 Ultegra hubs.

My First Upgrade 1995: Mag 21 w/sealed DiaCompe Aheadset, full 8spd XT, Kalloy ultralight prototype post (Sample from Taiwan bike show), Weinmann BCX 1 & 2 wheelset.

My Current Spec: 2003 Judy SL fork, Full 9spd XT w/hollowtech II cranks, New Ritchey Bars and Levers, Mavic 517's.

Future Upgrades considering: Lighter tires, 28 hole wheels.

Sweet, Sweet frame. Every time I see these bikes I am like GT needs to make them again. The rear supension design is so rad, I love it. How does it ride?
