    Please help identify my gt

I saw this on CL and having just sold my bike I jumped on it because it was local. I ended up meeting the guy at his house at night time and it looked great and ran great. It's really lightweight so I was happy with it. Well the next day I found areas where purple is bleeding through the black and I assume the bike was purple and then painted over black? I have taken pictures of everything including under the bottom bracket and the serial number on the dropout. It looks purple metaillic and then painted over to me?? The only GT's I found in purple were mainly Zaskars but I was told since the rear end cap is rouned it can't be a Zaskar. But then I saw a thread where the non U.S. Zaskars were seen with round endcaps in 2000 and 2001. Please help me identify what this bike is.

I think it's 1994 Backwoods, was in purple too. Serial number starting with H is a Taiwan frame, and Alivio group was on Backwoods aluminum bikes - all others with Alivio were steel frames.
