    Older Avalanche Education Please

I have a '97 Avalanche. I really like the bike but I think I can get a bit more out of the suspension. The front shock, Rock Shox Judy, is stock and has seen better days. I would like to replace this shock but don't know what to get.

I don't want to put a ton of money into this bike as I only plan on keeping it for another year or so. Therefore I would like to get a used shock. What size should I be looking for?

    Any recommendations?

I'd say stick to 80mm travel or tops 100mm if you can't get an 80mm.

Stick to 80, 100 will make it ride like a chopper.
Needed: 26.8mm XTR seatpost, blue GT/Grundig Jersey.
