    Kelly,
It's not chrome. The finish is called "Ball Burnished". Meaning it was tumbled in a vat filled with BB's. Chrome is a plating process and not usually done on aluminum bike frames. Great looking bike. Check the first four digits of your serial number again....I'm guessing it's 0797 which would mean it was made in July of 1997. The 19 means iIt is a 19" frame from center of BB to center of top tube.
Needed: 26.8mm XTR seatpost, blue GT/Grundig Jersey.

    Great thanks.

I was given the bike from a friend for free , that told me before I rode it that it is well used and about 10-15 yrs old.
He was moving up to a full suspension.

It is a little big for me being I am about 5' 7" but damn this bike rocks .

I am able to use the lowest gear on the front ring, for a while I was able to use 2nd but never
3rd. I hardly ever use 3rd on dirt trails anway so no complaints.

On the rear I can use about 3-4 gears but mostly what I need.

I have part on the rear derailer GT trianlge axle mount I think it is called zip tied for now. It only affect me if I have to take the rear tire off.

I guess I need to replace some parts soon. Suggestions

Yeah that pump goes on the bottle holder. well, between the bottle holder and the frame, sandwiched right between them with no zip ties. You should move it there. Nice ride by the way. You lucky dog.
