Noob trying to ID a GT Tequesta

Can anybody tell me what year this bike is? And a rough ballpark of what it might be worth as is, without wheels and pedals, but in nice shape otherwise. Someone just gave it to me, and I can't use it.

A little research into the Shimano derailleurs (FD-MC14) tells me that they were 1996-98. Serial number appears to be S8JY22461.

I can post more pix if that helps.
    Thanks!

$50 if you are lucky? Depends on where you are too. It is a lower end model, "sports" class which was targeting bike path use. Indy is an elastomer fork, so parting out probably is a waste of your time. It's all generic. While that GT seat post looks nice, I'd think it's one of the heaviest set.

Don't mean to be harsh, but lower end incomplete bike is a hard sell.
