    Need help on LTS year (pic)

    Who knows what year this is? Also, in this case does "Team" mean Team?

    Thanks gratefully.

    From the graphics and the shock i'd say '94. But could be '93 also.
    The '95's i think had a Fox Alps 5r from memory but i'm sure someone can correct me if i'm wrong on that.
    The Team refers to the spec level. There was LTS-2, LTS-1, and LTS Team. And yes, Team GT used the LTS Team version.
    I've never seen that colour before though, so could maybe be a custom job.
    What's the serial number on the bottom?

    I don't have it in front of me to check the serial.
    By spec you are saying the Team frame is no different from LTS-1 or LTS-2? And the shock?
    bikepedia is down right now...

    Yeah i'm pretty sure all three shared the same frame. Just like how, for example, the '09 Marathon's have Expert, Pro, and Team models, all use the same frame, just in differant colours.
    As for the shock, back in those days there wasn't many rear shocks for manufacturers to choose from, so yeah all three models used the Alps 4.
    Whenever you get a chance post the serial number up coz a lotta guys know how to read them. So that'll verify the year.
    Have you just bought this frame? Looks like it's in pretty good condition.

    95 was the first year of the LTS and the only model was the Team, which is what you have there. In 95 GT was still selling multiple RTS models. The LTS Team came with full XTR and a Judy SL fork.
    The Team designation is merely component level - it doesn't mean it was a factory team bike.
    Team = XTR, LTS-1 = XT, LTS-2 = LX, etc.

    That frame will only accomodate canti brakes in the rear.

    In 96 they switched to a single bolt der. hanger (easiest thing to distinguish years), as well as the RockShox Super Deluxe coilover shock and changed the seatstay bend to clear V-brakes. The frames were ball burnished. Looks like someone powder coated yours.
