    My WW 1998 Xizang.

I got this frame from my Shop Sponsor for Christmas 1998 and was going to build it up with the XTR groupo and Crossmax wheels of the time but decided to go Weight Weenie with it. I just found these negatives after 16 years.

    Titanium GT Xizang frame
    AMP Research F2 Carbon fork
    Chris king headset
Profile 90mm stem with Ti bolts
    Easton Carbon bar
    Easton Carbon post
    Flite Carbon saddle
QBP alloy post clamp with Ti bolt
    Mavic X517 rims 32r and 28f
    Chris King rear hub
American Classic time trial road front hub
    Real cryo alloy 8spd cassette
DT Competition spokes and alloy nipples
    Control Tech Ti Skewers
Specialized Tires (I forgot which ones, light)
    Specialized TurboLite tubes
    Grafton Joystix cranks
Action Tec Ti BB with SRP alloy bolts
QBP alloy chainrings 42/32/22 with alloy bolts
K2 Magnesium pedals with Ti spindles
    Foam grips
Proshift F & R derailleurs with Ti bolts
    Proshift V-Brakes with Ti bolts
    Proshift Levers with Alloy bolts
    XTR chain

18lbs. 4oz. with front suspension and 24 speeds in 1999.

That cassette was the single worst MTB purchase I ever made. Mine started skipping after about 3 rides. I still have it kicking around somewhere.

Mine made it about 200 miles and then just quit on me. I still have some of it.
