gt sensor 9r elite or fuji outland 29 2.0?

real serious about getting one of the two, they are roughly the same price though jenson. gt is considered all mountain and Fuji is an xc, it will be used for single track. any thoughts?

I have a 2011 GT Sensor 9r Pro, the 2013 Elite is same frame/similar shock. The GT is 120mm travel, the Fuji is 100mm travel. Geometry's are close, GT head angle/seat angle is 69.5/74.5 while Fuji is 70/74, so 'handling wise' they'd probably feel similar. I note wheelbases are GT 1129/1156/1182 (M/L/XL) with Fuji at 1128/1150/1179 which is interesting...almost the same yet the GT is 120mm and Fuji 100mm travel. Standover for GT is 769/789/829, for Fuji is 845/846/848. Fuji's standover is pretty tall for a 100mm travel bike.
Components similar, better rear derailleur on Fuji, much better shock on GT, better brakes on GT. The shock on the GT is the Fox CTD (climb/trail/desend) which gives you nice options on the compression damping. The Fuji has only rebound to adjust. The Fuji uses Specialized's FSR suspension which will bob and the shock has have to have some 'propedal' built in to counter that. The GT i-Drive doesn't bob and is a very good rear suspension design. Add in the flexibility of the fox shock and the GT suspension is better.

I would not consider the Fuji an 'XC'. It has about the same size/wheelbase/geometry as the GT, but 100mm travel vs. 120mm.

I like my 2011 Sensor 9r Pro a lot so I'm probably biased, but taking everything I mentioned above into account, I'd still vote for the GT Elite over the Fuji.
