Correction. The Ardents that come stock are not tubeless.

Lol, really? Wow, thanks. You just saved me $30. I don't see anywhere that it says that. Then again I am having a super hard time finding the tech specs/manual online for the 2012. I can find the 2013 everywhere

I have a Force 3.0, 2012 model year. It came with presta valve compatible rims. Alexrims TD24's.

You can see it in one of my previous posts.

Looking again at the 2013 and much of the bike is the same. I'll see what I can find on that in the meantime. Thanks again

YEP - wider bars. Go 780mm with a 50mm stem i'm sure you'll love that. THen bashguard in place of your big ring to protect your crank. If your trails get very muddy, try making a mudguard for your iDrive links. It gets pretty mucked up fast.

Thanks. I actually ordered a 785mm bar :P and a 40mm stem (hope that wasn't too short). Some good idess! It's not too muddy but if it gets like that I will.

Any good links to replace the third ring with a bash guard?

Just did mine with a e13 turbocharger paired with a blackspire stinger. Also you may want to check out this post. Got a white bike? Check this chainstay protection out.

same bashguard here but with e13's guide for a decent price.

Thanks dude!! I actually did the chain stay protection before I rode!! Awesome idea.

So I can just remove the 3rd ring and put the bash in its place?...no other needed parts?

You can but it all depends on what ratios will work best for you and the type of riding you do. When I did mine I bought a 36T ring to replace the 32T mid ring the bike came with and kept the 24T granny. Ride it for awhile and then decide if the 32T gives you all you need. Another forum member that I talked with went with the shimano XT 28T 40T dual ring crank set. Just make sure you know what the biggest ring that you will be running is before you drop the cash on the bash guard. Installation was easy by the way. 785mm bars!!! I could never run those here in Maine, too many trees.

Gotcha dude. I'll keep that in mind. I really like the way the stock feels so I wouldn't mind. I'd have to try the others.

Hahaha man! We have open dry land here so it's all good. Hey for your chain tensioner, are our bikes iscg? I keep reading about it but I'm still a noob

I ordered from this guy already - twice: Home

Still have to get the inner bash inside though.

(not my photo - got it off google for reference) - I pretty much have the same set of bashguards though

Erin makes nice stuff. I have a Race Face outer with a BBG 64 BCD inner, makes a nice bashwich. I might suggest going with the heavier duty inner, the light one is slightly flexy IMO, but mine has been working well.

I got the 1/8th inch inner bash. Haven't had it installed yet. Need to check if it has clearance issues. They say i need to grind down the granny bolts - by the looks of it they might be right. Have to check though.
