    GT Lightning

I have a friend who is looking to sell his 1998 GT Lightning titanium frame although he/we do not know what the market value is for this frame. Does anyone have an idea or rough guestimate? The frame is in good condition and is a size large.

New question here. here's a guess

A complete GT Lightning was available on my local Craigslist a year ago. It was priced at $500. When I emailed the seller two days later, it was sold.

The problem is that you have an old bike made with a "rare" material for the bike manufacturer. It's probably worth more than a similar steel or aluminum GT, but I don't think it has the following of the Zaskar.

    Good luck!

i'm sure others with knowledge will correct me...

the Lightninbg was GT's "cheap" Ti bike, I think made from Russian Ti (which i am not saying is a good or bad thing, and may not be true) and was positioned below the Xizang, Zaskar and Pychlone, so while it's nice, people don't lust after them as much.
