Affy’s GT Force in DIY 650b mode with custom drop outs and a 650b Fox 34 fork.

I would not be surprised if the custom dropout also slackened the head angle (axle way higher than the lower dropout bolt as stock) and if he short shocked too.

well now, that is something. I'd totally be down for a 650b Force. Hopefully it makes the cut. And a 650b Xixang as well

Nashbar posted on their FB page that they will have something fat bike "soon".

Back to the original post, I bought my GT Peace 9r as a leftover model for $400 (1/2 off) to "try" the 29er concept. It's the only bike I've ridden for the last 4 years! In that time, it's required zero repairs. If you compare that bike with a Pugs it's about the same other than the wheels/cranks. If GT can duplicate what they did with 29ers with a fat bike in the $800-1000 MSRP range they'll have a huge market.

The GT rep here in Belgium told me they're working on 27.5 Carbon Sensors and Forces for 2014.

I have been watching the calendar since I saw the trailer on GT's website counting down until the 18th. I'm hoping it's a 650b. I've have to stay away from my local Performance stores this weekend. 30% back on points is really tempting to me on a GT Sensor 9R Expert. A 650b would be worth the wait.
