You should be fine. Read the through GT Force/Sanction thread and you'll find a bunch of guys are running lyrics and other 160mm forks. I even just ordered a Marzocchi 55 tst2.

Yeah it'll deffinately be ok on the aluminium Force.

Does anyone know if it's ok to do this on the carbon force?

I've been running the 2008 36 vanilla rc2 on my force for a couple of weeks now and I couldn't be happier. I was concerned about the climbing ability being diminished but it wasn't really that much of a difference.

    Yes, go for it!!

I just removed my Talis 36RC2 for the 32mm 150travel Talis w/ 15mm thru axles. I love the weight savings and its a great fork for 70% of the trails I ride but when it gets rockier and more technical, I miss the fat 36 legs. Dont sweat the added 10mm of travel... in fact, I prefer its effect on the geometry
