GT and Performance bike went above and beyond expectations by warranty-ing my frame. Originally, GT said no dice, I was pissed. Performance store manager backed me up on the facts of pivot failures, and in the end GT Bicycles did the right thing. Actually, GT was generous in the end. If they had sent a USED frame that worked they would have gotten my respect. This action by GT outperforms my experience with SANTA CRUZ when I broke that frame (2001 Superlight). So, all you GT fans out there should ride with confidence. I hate that I came off as such a weenie whammer last week on this thread, but I was demoralized after spending hours and hours working on this bike. The new frame is on Ebay as I would feel guilty trying to warranty this NEW frame if the same problems arose. I just want a bike that I can ride. Tired of wrenching. Thanks again to GT and Performance Bike. Your reputation is good with me.
