Anyone know the appropriate Axle to Crown for a 98' GT mountain bike?
I have a 98' backwoods with some Indy S RockShocks. I've read conflicting instructions to measure the A-C without load and WITH load. Which is it?
Without load is 425mm axle to crown. 71 degrees headtube.
Now, there were also GT Bologna lite's, but their axle to crown ranges from 398mm-415mm (rough estimate based on members claims). Anyone know the correct A-C from the Bologna Lite cro-mo forks?
Im leaning to get a Salsa Cromoto (425mm ac) but not sure if its too much height for the bike. If its too much, i'd probably choose a stock GT Bologna lite over a Surly 1x1, since they're both under 415mm.
You still need this info? Just seeing this now. If so, my girlfriend has a Backwoods (2000?) I could measure. She also has a '96 Pantera that I recently replaced the fork on, I can give you the specs of that too, just have to dig up the info...
