    97' GT Backwoods

I bought it brand new in 99' at a local LBS. It was the last one they had. It was a rigid frame when i got it and for the past year I've been slowly upgrading it. Changed to old crankset to the Raceface Evolve with external BB, added Mavic Crossrides, XT rear derailer, handlebars (these will be upgraded again) and stem, seatpost and seat. My next upgrade will be to add disc brakes. I love this bike and its been fun to learn how to do all these upgrades.

Nice ride bro, but just in case you overlooked the disc brake tab., yur frame doesn't accept a rear disc brake. It's only for v-brakes unless you buy a disc brake adapter. When you are ready to go to discs do a search in the forums and find the adapter that will best fit your bike. There's a few guys out there that have done this.
