I bought this bike in a medium. I think I messed up as I am 5'11". It seems I should I have gotten the L.

What can I do to better this situation? Is a new seat post the answer, one which sets me farther from the handlebars? What should I look for?

Also, the spokes on the DT Swiss X470 kept breaking, so they replaced it with the X1600 wheelset. It's a well rated set from what I've read. Did they upgrade or downgrade me?

Would a longer handlebar stem help? If so, should I try seatpost first and then extension or vice versa?

a longer stem would make steering not so playful, but if you don't ride technical trails, that will help too
