    1999 (?) Palomar as a commuter/general purpose bike?

For my second bike, I'd like to build a general purpose commuter / 'ride around with the kids' bike. Since I've fallen in love with the GT style, I've been watching local CL ads to see if I can pick up something suitable.

This bike caught my eye but I haven't called the seller. They don't specify the year, but from what I can tell it's a 1999 model steel frame.

Any opinions on this frame in general? Or, how well it would be suited for general use, non off road bike?

    Thanks!

Should be fine. The only issue I can think of is from the looks of the triple triangle,it's at least a size large.
Ignore them till they go away. It's corporate policy.

Good eye. I believe the ad said it was a large. Still snooping around on CL. Thank you for the response!
