    White River Trail pics

Made it down to Branson this weekend, didn't bring the bike but got a nice long run in on White River Trail. The new trailhead is amazing, and I finally "get" these trails. They are essentially 4 loops with connector trails joining them and some connectors that cut across the middle of the loops so you can shorten the ride or whatever. Love these trails! Last time I was there I didn't hit half of them, think I just did green and orange loop and one of the connectors. The trails are well marked now and there's a nice map at the trailhead. THey are getting some use judging by the dust on them, or at least the red loop is getting a lot of use. Not so much on the blue one, but that one is tougher too. It rained Saturday night, but when I was there Sunday morning there was dust on the trail, so these are draining well. I shot a few photos, hope to get back down again soon.

Nice little feature on the red loop

Who can ride this? This is on No. 2 connector from red to blue loop

Some rocks on the blue loop

    What, me hurry?

Wow! Looks awesome. I'd definitely try to ride that second pic, unless the perspective is hiding the huge gaps in between those rocks!

I'm gonna have to drive down there when I get some time off!

It could be done...Those rocks are about 16-18 inches apart I'd guess. Might be able to do it on a 29er ok. I could probably get across 2 of them, then would lose my momentum with disastrous consequences! I looked for tire tracks and didn't see any there, LOL. Of course I had to RUN them! This trail got me thinking, we now have trails at most of the major Missouri tourism sites: Lake of the Ozarks, Warsaw, St. James, St. Charles, St. Joe...where's the love, Ste. Genevieve, Hannibal and Hermann?
    What, me hurry?
