    Turkey Mountain - Best bike?

Looking for a full suspension bike to replace my yelli screamy, and need something that can handle everything at at turkey. Needs to do well both going up and down the hills.

Exception - I don't hit the big dirt jumps, but I do like to play around on the pump track and need something that can at least handle the jumps on the downhill section.

Open to all suggestions. I doubt this thread will get many views, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

    I'm 5'11, 155 pounds.

I have a nice set of 29" flow rims laced to DT hubs along with a 120/140mm marzocchi 44 micro ti tapered fork that i'd like to re-use of possible, but I'm open to 26" and 650b suggestions.

Greenleaf is very close to where I live, so I need a bike that does well out there also.

    Thanks

Bought a rip 9 frame from hammerhead last night. The build went very smoothly and I was able to get a quick test ride around my yard and so far I think I'm going to be very happy with it. Not as nimble or easy to manual as my yelli, but the difference in comfort is worth the sacrifice.

I had no problems on the yelli with high volume tires out there.

I do, and have for years. Never been on a full suspension, so I really don't know what I'm missing or not.

It's in Tulsa, OK on the west side of the Arkansas River between 71st street and I-44. More of a hill, but it's got some serious technical terrain.

Have you looked at Yeti? They have a few really nice bikes that would handle what you are looking for. The 575 is a great all around but is a 26" You could look at the SB-95 for a 29er.

I'd like to demo a full suspension at Turkey as well. I've been in Arkansas all weekend and the trails are suprisingly smoother than Turkey's huge rocks that are all over the place. Had a blast in Arkansas and loved the hill climbs on my hardtail (as much as you can love a hill climb).

I just raced Turkey Mt. On my Giant AX29er. It was fantastic.
I saw many others on the same bike.
My Son in law rode his Giant XTC, it's a hard tail. He said it was great.
We saw lots of hard tails competeing.
My 13 year old son was on his Specialized Camber 26", he also had a blast.
We saw some Spec. Epic's among many other quality full suspension,
and hard tail bikes. Personally I would stick with a full sus. 29er.
